FONDAZIONE CASSAMARCA - Wildix communication platform
The communication among different buildings to unify, an old telephone exchange without technical assistance and the necessity to extend the communication tools in order to keep up with the times: over recent years, these needs have been common among companies and historical bodies too.
Fondazione Cassamarca is based in Treviso, it is a non-profit organization involved in several social project which range over culture, environment, education and research.
It is a foundation of banking origin, which is also responsible of different buildings designated for public use, including the two theatres of Treviso, two University Campus and several historical buildings.
The Foundation dispose of an old Meridian Nortel telephone exchange that needed to be substitute; for this reason, the Foundation decided to evaluate different suppliers of VoIP solutions.
“The need to change the telephone exchange has born from two main reasons: the Meridian was old, spare parts did not exist and it was not covered by technical assistance. It could have stopped working at any time, without any possibility of relying on a technical support for its repair” tells Ivan Lorenzon, ICT Responsible at Fondazione Cassamarca.
“As the telephone exchange was getting old, we decided to choose a new one which could solve another problem the old system. From a high number of buildings derives several telephone lines, internal telephone numbers that need to be managed and a consequent disharmony with the management of the telephone exchange. We wanted to manage better the existing telephone lines”.
Fondazione Cassamarca has evaluated various telephone systems in order to substitute the old machine and to satisfy its own needs of simplification. After a careful analysis, the Foundation has relied on Eurogroup, a trusted partner, in order to bring a simple but effective communication system on the desks of its 140 interiors (and its 5 buildings).
“We wanted a system that allowed us the numeration and the central management of every our building: it was not possible with the old system. For this reason, we have chosen a VoIP system, which allows a more simple communication”.
